Essential Oils

Essential oils are the distilled or expressed oils of aromatic plant leaves, flowers or roots. They are 10 to 100 times more concentrated than the plant material they are extracted from and great care must be used with them, particularly when the skin is involved. Essential Oils are sensitive and must be stored with care. Do not store them near heat, in light or where moisture is present and keep them tightly capped. In aromatherapy there are a variety of ways to use essential oils: You may mix the oils carefully to produce your own secret formula (if you plan to use the formula on your skin, you will want to dilute it with a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or soy oil); place a drop or two on a cotton ball and inhale the fragrance while visualizing your objective; put a few drops into your bath water; place some drops on a light-bulb ring and let the heat of the light-bulb release the fragrance; use an essential oil atomizer to release the oils into the atmosphere; place them on each chakra to stimulate that energy center; anoint a candle or other creative ways that you can think of. OILS marked with an asterisk (*) are animal based. The animals are not killed or hurt to obtain the oil. OILS marked with a cross (+) are potentially harmful if ingested and are to be used sparingly in a diluted form (7% essential oil to 93% carrier oil) on the skin. Do not ingest these oils, please. We can locate very rare, difficult to find oils for you - if what you need is not listed here, just let us know and we will do our best to help you. Bottles

We have glass bottles from 1 dram to 8 ounce sizes. We also carry plastic squeeze bottles from 1 ounce to 8 ounce sizes. These can be used for mixing and storing oils or other cosmetic uses. (Use only glass bottles with spice oils such as cinnamon.)
